My life has been rather drab these past few weeks. Primarily due to my unemployment. My sudden inability to keep a job is ridiculous. As much as I hated Dodge Development, it was a badass job. But I'd fire me too. The last few months of that job I went to work late, hungover, and in my pajamas. The day they fired me, ( and probably most of the reason the firing occured ) I went to work, after sleeping for only 2 hours, hungover, and passed out at my desk. What a maroooon.
Target on the other hand, fired me for dumb shit. I unknowingly redeemed a few rain checks when I shouldn't have, and they called me into the office and "terminated" me on the spot. Bullshit. They make $347,345,656,87.98 dollars an hour, I doubt my $40 in loss really hurt them.
Wal-Mart is still sending me threatening letters. As far as I'm concerned, Wal-Mart and Target can go suck a dick.
Taste of Chaos is February 20th. Chelsea, myself, Aaron, and Johnmay are going. Hopefully I won't die in the pit when Deftones play like I did at their last concert.

I haven't updated in a relatively long time, because I was fired.
Two Tuesdays ago, I come into work, and before I could even sit at my desk, my asshole of a boss says, "Ashley, it isn't working out. I'm going to have to let you go." So I grabbed my things, and left. Without saying a word.
The following Sunday, Chelsea and I went to Wal-Mart. She decided to steal some eyeliner, and gets caught. We're both taken to the Wal-Mart office, and the LP guy says he isn't getting the cops involved, and that he was just going to write us a CT saying we're not allowed in Wal-Mart again. Ok, cool. I hate Wal-Mart anyway. I figured I was off the hook, seeing as though I myself didn't steal anything. Wrong. Not long after that son of a bitch says he isn't getting the cops involved, 3 cops walk into the office, search us, cuff us, and ask us dumbass questions about how often we "steal." So one of the cops says to the LP guy, "Its up to you if you want to charge Ashley, since she didn't steal anything." The LP guy looks at me and says, "I have to, or I'll get fired." Mother Fucker. So they walk us outside to the cop car in cuffs, and we get in the back. He takes us to the police station in Desoto. Chelsea and I are told to take off all jewelry, ponytail holders, and they put our things in a plastic bag and seal it. Then we both are figer printed and we both take our mugshots. On our way to the cell, we each grab a purple blanket that smells like someone wiped their asses with it, and a brown cup for water. Luckily, we're both put in the same cell. As we're walking in, a girl was walking out. We later found out that she was in for prostitution. So we're put in a cell with a mexican girl, a mid-forties Mom, and a black girl who stays asleep the whole time we're in there. The Mom was in for tickets, and for some reason, her son and her can't be apart, so he got caught stealing a bottle of water just so he could be in jail w/ her. He was in a cell down the hall. The mexican girl was in for tickets as well, as was the black girl. There were bras and underwear hanging on the wall for "decoration" and for a few laughs, and since they keep it 20 degrees below zero in the cells, they had put maxi-pads over the vent to keep the cold air out. After about 6 hours, my Dad bailed me out. ( $150 ) He was extremely disapointed, as expected. In a months time, I've wrecked my car drunk driving, wrecked Aaron's car sober, lost my job, and went to jail. Maybe its time to buckle down....
I applied at Target and I have my second interview this Friday. Hopefully the pay is decent.

My being fired from Dodge Development, as of now, appears to be inevitable. My boss apparently hates me. Which is fine by me, because I hate him as well. If any of you have ever seen Office Space, my boss is a slightly less exaggerated version of the guy that mumbles and had a bizarre obsession with the red stapler, and this man makes more than a quarter-million dollars a year. I applied for a job in Mansfield on Monday. Its far better than the one I have now, but I'm sure any job would be. I haven't gotten a call yet, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
The Killers concert is tonight. ( Yes Casey, the Killers ) at Nokia Live. Then in a month is Coldplay.
LJ is so dead.
Oh, and lip piercing is a go. Next Wednesday when I get paid. Woot.

Ok, so lately I've tun into numerous amounts of xanga entries that read someting like the following, "I've decided to BECOME emo/hardcore/straight edge, etc." I can't even convey to you in words my annoyance for these people. I'm equally annoyed with them as I am with the people that TyPe LiKE ThiS.

Coldplay - X & Y |

I finally saw The Machinest. As expected, it was awesome. Christian Bale went to great lengths to make that movie was it is.
I went out and bought Coldplay and Finch yesterday. I've listened to the majority of Finch. Their sound is different from their last album. Significantly. Not saying I didn't love it, alot, but saying that if I had to choose between the new Finch and the old Finch, I'd go with old Finch, hands down.
I've only listened to the fist track, and Speed of Sound on Coldplay. I must say, I can't wait to hear the rest. Both songs were nothing short of amazing.
Next week: Foo Fighters
I foresee this summer being a complete and total drag. Simply because I still have a job. 1 job + 1 summer = 0 fun
Annie is gone. All summer long. I'm sad.

Saturday morning. I'm sittin here at the Cleaners. Bitchy customers continue to walk in, reminding me of why I left the establishment in the first place. Hes paying me cash, thats the only reason I did it. Otherwise, I'd be sleeping right now, and probably not waking up until late this afternoon. Real late.
I bought the new Nine Inch Nails CD at Best Buy, where I saw Skewed_up. I almost didn't buy it, but I figured if I didn't like it, I could just sell it. ( Though, for less than 1/2 the price in which I bought it ) I also went to CD Warehouse where I finally found the Denver Harbor CD. Virgin Megastore didn't even have it.
Graduation is Thursday. So is project graduation? I'm not sure if I'm even going to go. I doubt it.
John Martin's last night was fun. Waterfalls is always fun.
I'm confused right now. About alot of things.

My journal is severely lacking in interesting content. Actually, its lacking in content period. Graduation is in 2 weeks. I'm dredding it. I just want it to be over with. Im' only doing it for my parents. Otherwise, I would've been happy walking across the PACE lobby with the two other people that graduated when I did, and eating the cake they probably ordered from Kroger, which, by the way, is amazing.
Overall, this "school" year was a total waste. Adult life was slammed in my face not 2 weeks after I finished school. Fucking 8-5 job. Hard to party hardy when you gotta be up at 8 o'clock the next day.
I hope all of the juniors ( Stasi, Jenny, Staci, Derica, Rachel, and Sylvia? <---did she quit?? ) had a good junior year. You guys are rad.

Saddest thing I've heard in a long, long time. We saw him live last year. He was one of the funniest guys I've ever seen.
Comedian and Actor Mitch Hedberg, 37, Dies
ST. PAUL, Minn. - Mitch Hedberg, a Minnesota-born comedian who worked in nightclubs, television and film in a wide-ranging career, died in New Jersey, his family said. He was 37.
Hedberg, who struggled with drugs and alcohol, died Wednesday in a hotel room in Livingston, N.J.
Pending the medical examiner's report, the cause of death appears to be heart failure, said his mother, Mary Hedberg. She said her son was born with a heart defect and frequently felt anxious about his condition.
Mary Hedberg said speculation that her son's death was drug-related was gossip.
"We don't know that for a fact," she said, but added, "it's not a secret Mitch used drugs. Whether that played a role in his death or not, we don't know."
A hit on "The Late Show With David Letterman," on which he appeared 10 times, and "The Howard Stern Show," Hedberg once was dubbed "the next Seinfeld" by Time magazine. But TV-series fame eluded him because his unique style of mumbled one-liners didn't lend itself to the sitcom format.
Hedberg delivered absurdist, random observations in a spacy staccato. His long, dirty blond hair harkened to the image of a 1970s stoner.
Jokes about Hedberg's drug use were a staple of his act. He took a hiatus from performing for several months after a May 2003 arrest in Austin, Texas, for felony possession of heroin.
Born in St. Paul, Hedberg rose through the ranks at Minneapolis' Acme Comedy Co. and caught his big break through a Comedy Central special.
His rambling, non-sequitur style often drew comparisons to Steven Wright, but Hedberg disagreed.
"If I made potato chips and put them in a can, people would say I was ripping off Pringles," he said. "But what if I put them in a bag?"
Hedberg had two popular comedy CDs, "Strategic Grill Locations" and "Mitch All Together." He acted in the movie "Almost Famous" — smoking fake pot with Peter Frampton — and appeared on Fox's hit series "That '70s Show."
Hedberg is survived by his wife, comedian Lynn Shawcroft, his father and mother, Arne and Mary Hedberg of St. Paul, and sisters Wendy Brown of Woodbury and Angie Anderson of South St. Paul.
